Waste and recycling update for Thursday, 28 December
All waste and recycling crews are out as usual to carry out today's bin collections (Thursday, 28 December).
However the remaining icy road conditions in areas of the District may mean some streets cannot be accessed - crews will carry out collections where they feel it is safe to do so.

Due to the current snowy conditions, waste and recycling collections have been suspended in some areas of Daventry District today.
Treacherous road conditions, coupled with abandoned vehicles and road traffic incidents in a number of routes, mean crews are unable to collect from the following rural areas today:

The Daventry & District Forum AGM and Tea Dance held at Daventry Leisure Centre last Wednesday was a successful event and so nice to see many people enjoying themselves, there were around 85-90 people that came and we have increased the DDF membership.

Daventry District Council will be closing its offices over Christmas and New Year from 23 December until 2 January.
Essential services, such as waste and recycling collections and street cleaning, will continue over Christmas and arrangements will continue to be in place in the event of an emergency.
